Abilene Police are calling the discovery of a man’s body in a northwest Abilene apartment building on Tuesday morning an unattended death.

Interim police chief Kevin Diercks said officers and emergency crews were dispatched to an apartment at 711 NW 11th at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday, on a report of an unresponsive male and unresponsive female.

Diercks said emergency crews found 60-year-old Calvin Cunningham deceased. A 58-year-old female was taken to Abilene Memorial Hospital. No further details were released about the woman.
