In a written report, the Kansas Highway Patrol said Rodney Knitter, 61, Clay Center, was westbound on Kansas Highway 15, near the east junction with Kansas Highway 18, when for an unknown reason, the truck he was driving went into the north ditch, traveled across the roadway into the south ditch then traveled back onto the roadway and overturned 1.5 times. Knitter was driving a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup, which came to a stop on its top in the roadway.
KHP reports the crash occurred at 8:23 p.m. Thursday and Knitter was wearing a seatbelt.
