The Weiters family gave club members a hay rack ride. The club then enjoyed a hotdog roast and potluck supper. There were 13 members, two leaders and several parents present.
Acting president Jaron Hedstrom called the meeting to order followed by the flag salute and 4-H pledge. Roll call was answered by naming “Your favorite outside activity.” Acting secretary Michael Hall read the minutes of the previous meeting. Kevin Mills gave the treasurer’s report.
Leader, Katie Wieters told the club that officer’s training was Monday, Oct. 24 and that enrollment cards for the coming year are due to her by Oct. 28. She also thanked club members for bringing items for the Operations Christmas Child boxes.
Under new business, the club approved giving a $25 gas card to the Hall family for travel expenses. The club also approved purchasing club insurance for each member. The program was the installation of club officers. The activity for the evening was decorating pumpkins for Chapman Valley Manor. The meeting was adjourned by saying the 4-H motto, “To make the best better.”
The next meeting will be 6:30 p.m., Nov. 21, at the Chapman Elementary Cafeteria.
