She was born on Dec. 17, 1921, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Charles Frederick William Schultz and Rose Triedel.
She married Cleon James McVeigh, on Feb. 8, 1945, and they were later divorced.
She volunteered at Optic 20/20 for over 12 years. She was a resident of Abilene for 24 years, and a resident of Evanston, Wyo. for 14 years.
She is survived by her sons, James and Jerry McVeigh, of Holly, Mich., and a daughter, Pat Withrow, of Evanston, Wyo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta Street, Evanston, WY 82930.
A celebration of her life will be held in Evanston, Wyo., in the summer of 2011.
