Both of Abilene’s singles players won first place, as did the No. 1 doubles team to score 31 team points.
Marysville placed second with 23 points. The Fighting Irish of Chapman placed fourth overall.
Playing No. 1 singles for the Cowboys was William Yeager. He was not challenged during the day. He received a bye in round one and advanced to the finals with an 8-1 victory over Ellsworth. In the finals he beat Topeka High 8-2.
Trey Jackson and Ben Weissenbach teamed up to play No. 1 doubles for AHS. They advanced to the finals and won over Marysville 8-4 for first place.
Gavin Hanna played No. 2 singles for Abilene. He defeated Marysville and Chapman to advance to the finals where he won 8-2 over a Topeka High player.
Abilene No. 2 doubles team of David Leach and Ryan Daily placed second. They won over Republic County and Chapman and lost to Marysville in the final 8-3.
Zach Hughes played No. 1 singles for Chapman placing sixth.
Shane Williams and David Prosch placed No. 1 doubles and they placed fifth with a 8-7 (9-7) win over Topeka High.
Karl Janke placed third for the Irish at No. 2 singles. He defeated teammate Brandon Fansler who was filling in a slot on the Abilene White team at No. 2 singles 8-3.
Riley O’Neal and Adrian Fink placed third in No. 2 doubles. They defeated Abilene’s Noah Callis and Travis Crawford, who were also playing for the Abilene White team.
Abilene’s Tyler Schiffner and Nolan Mayden played No. 1 doubles for the White team and placed fourth.
Kaleb Howard was Abilene No. 1 singles player for the White team. He placed seventh.
